Back to School

Students as you get back to your school for resumption remember your new performance must be better than the last academic performance. These are the things you must improve:

Your Study Habit: a student that does not study regularly is not a fake student. You must STUDY DAILY study better than your previous performance. Memorise better, understand better and answer question in a better way

Your Commitment: Give all your attention to your studies so that you will grab all the necessary information for you to pass.

Your Assignments: You must do your assignments regularly and keep improving on them.

Your Dressing: you must be neater and well dressed than you used to be. There is always room for improvement.

Your attitude: you must completely be humble and always learning at every opportunity you have.

On a final note if you are not improving you are reducing. One of these two must be happening to you as a student. But if you follow the principles above your performance will definitely get better.

How to be outstanding in Post Utme/ Post Jamb

schools will start releasing their post-UTME/post-JAMB screening forms. While candidates wait for their school of choices to announce the sales of screening forms, it is important that candidates equally know what to expect during the Post-UTME Screening exercise.

The Post-UTME screening is a mechanism schools use to ensure they pick qualified candidates for admission. The methods usually used by schools to achieve this include Online Screening, Physical Screening and Aptitude Test Screening.

Some schools may use just one of these screening methods while some may use two or all three of these screening methods.

Nevertheless, many schools (if not all) use the Aptitude Test Screening in selecting the qualified candidates for admission.

An explanation of the three mechanisms  of Screening are as follows;

1. Online Screening

Here you will be required to upload your results and other relevant documents on the school's portal. The school will then screen you based on how good your results are as well as the validity of documents and other information you submitted.

The documents you may need to upload include;

O’level result (WAEC, NECO or GCE)

JAMB result(original)

Birth certificate

Certificate of State/LG of origin

JAMB Direct Entry Registration slip(For Direct Entry candidates)

Passport

Jamb details(such as Registration number, subject combination etc)

2. Physical Screening

In physical screening, candidates will be required to come to the schools with all relevant documents to be screened.

The school may equally decide to conduct an oral interview for candidates. Students are advised to go to the screening in formal dress and ensure they look decent. A major advantage in this case is the confidence you exhibit while answering the questions thrown at you.

3. Aptitude Test Screening

Here candidates will take an aptitude test as a form of screening. This is in form of an examination. it could be CBT or PPT. Many schools (if not all) now use this method to screen candidates. In this case, candidates are advised to get the Post-UTME Past questions of their school of choices in order to prepare adequately for the aptitude test Screening

This aptitude test is common and compulsory with institutions like NDA( Defence Academy), NPA (Police Academy),Federal universities etc.

You must score very high marks in order to be considered because your aptitude test is a final determinant of your admission success irrespective of you Ssce result and Jamb Score.

Students are advised to get past questions of the School's Post Utme and practise them properly. Students should also take their time within this period to read up all areas of weakness in their various subjects. Students should also prepare just for any subject because the test is usually a mix of various subjects.
